Well, I guess I will start with a confession. Running.. not so much. Last week I didn't run. At all. Not one time! I have a half in September... eek! This girl needs to get training. I thought about my goals, and I decided my goal is just to finish. I have no time goals whatsoever, I just want to finish. From there, I can make time goals for my next half.
For our anniversary a couple of weeks ago, Drew had pre ordered a gameboyxboxplaystationthinger and I decided I wanted a desk. It finally came! I had been watching the tracking info like a hawk. Once that baby was at the store, we rushed to pick it up. I had some errands to do, so I left Drew to put it together. I came home, and he told me it was finished. Yay... except he had a weird tone when he told me. I knew something was up. I walked into the spare room to check out the damage.
Didn't see much of anything..
Until I walked closer. Still didn't really see anything...
Until you get closer and BAM there is a huge scratch. It couldn't have happened UNDER the desk. OH NO. It had to be in the WORST SPOT POSSIBLE. <--- All caps means business.
Luckily for me (and Drew), the company is sending me a replacement top since the desk is under warranty. Until then, I can sit and blog to my heart's content, knowing that awful scrape will soon be gone.
In other news... I have found a new friend, and she is awesome. My husband works with Alex, and he has a new girlfriend, Sam. We had dinner with them last Monday, and again this weekend. They are SO fun to be around, and Sam and I are basically twins. She is super tall, has large feet, and her face gets red and blotchy after her first drink. TWINS!
This weekend was my last weekend of Summer vacation. I am enjoying every last moment of staying up late and not worrying about how much sleep I get. It's going to be a rude awakening on Tuesday morning when I HAVE to get up early. I've been setting my alarm earlier and earlier each day to prepare myself, but I still took my time in the morning knowing I wasn't totally required to be anywhere at a certain time. I think what I will miss most is being able to go grocery shopping during the day. I know that sounds ridiculous, but being able to grocery shop during a weekday is a million times better than going on the weekend. Especially to walmart- my least favorite store of all time.
Anyway, my goal for this week is to drink enough water everyday, and to have a balanced dinner. Breakfast and lunch go well, but at times dinner is a tough meal for me to make smart choices. I eat less of whatever we are having, but I need to be eating more fruits and veggies and not as many carbs. My body doesn't NEED the carbs, it's just me wanting them. Oh, and I need to run this week. Those are my two goals!
So now it's your turn to share with me. What did ya'll do this weekend? Did anyone dance to no music with you?
